I am lucky enough to be one of the directors here at Summit School. I have been in this role since 2024 and before this I worked as a kindergarten teacher in Waconia for nine years and I was also a program manager for a nonprofit that supported new teachers all over the metro. I am excited to work in childcare because the skills kids learn here can help them be successful for their entire life. I wrote my undergrad senior thesis on the importance of teaching primary educators attachment theory to facilitate better student/teacher relationships and I wrote my Master’s thesis on the importance of teaching social skills through play based instruction. Summit staff do a great job of supporting both the academic needs and the social emotional needs of our students. I consider myself very lucky to be a part of this team!
